How much its important for engineering students to know about what "Flow Diagrams" and "Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams" are?

What is Process Flow diagram:

A schematic representation of the flow of process material through the system

What is P & ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram):

A Detailed view of flow diagram. Purpose is to illustrate all the piping and instrumentation used in the system.

Industry to Institution Knowledge Transfer

 

Hello All,

This is an initiative which we are taking to train fresh graduates and make them industry ready.
Idea is to bridge gap between what is taught in institutes and actual work that is carried out within industries. It sometimes take lot of time for fresh graduates to pick up small small things which are very important.
